Gun Shy Tourist,

Yes, I've met Todd. Even taken a class from him.

Considering that ParaOrd was founded in '85 and the fruity LDA trigger didn't come about until the mid-'90s, I'd be interested in hearing about those "early PARA model(s)" with LDA triggers. Do tell.

Well for the record my Carry 9, and my Tac Five, both have really nice triggers, but the Gun Blog 45 has for lack of a better word has a "Fruity" trigger

Just for the record, Todd's personal carry pistol is an early PARA model with a "fruity" LDA trigger. :-)

Todd's 1911s will have "Todd Jarrett" on them.

What, that's not worth an extra $500?

And DAO is fruity no matter what gun it's on.

Ha! I thought it, but Tam said it. I wouldn't necessarily call the LDA trigger "fruity," but then I've never owned a single-action 1911. I do doubt very much whether Todd Jarrett will be having anyone build anything but single-action triggers if he's in charge.

My other first thought was "What is Todd Jarrett going to offer on a 1911 that no one else is offering?" But maybe that's why he's starting a gun company and I'm not.

Five gets you ten his new company has nothing to do with fruity "LDA" triggers.

It must have been physically painful to have been contractually obligated to pimp those things.

I haver mixed feelings on this, I will be glad to see no more ads of Todd in A Tux with a Para PDA, or in digi camouflage with a TTR etc, it almost seemed like Para liked to play "What can we dress Todd Jarret as today"

Looking forward to see what he can come up with, but not looking forward to the price.
