Drill of the Week #41: Caleb’s 150rd IDPA Practice Session

20-Aug-12 – 11:29 by ToddG

The pistol-forum.com Drill of the Week takes a slightly different tack this week with Caleb “Gun Nuts” Gidding’s 150rd IDPA Practice Session. ¬†Contrary to the title, it’s an excellent overall program for a short training session: draws, reloads, low% targets, and high% targets with multiple reps of everything so it’s actual¬†practice not just a one-off test.

Check it out, give it a try, and post your results.

  2. Can you suggest par times for the drills?

  3. The problem with a universal PAR is that it assumes a certain skill level on the part of the shooter. Guys who are better will find the PAR too easy and those who are less skilled will find it beyond reach. Instead, I’d suggest running the drills and recording your results. From there, attempt to get more hits and/or go faster next time.
