Cost is $85 per session.

Ever get the feeling that your time at the range is not leading to as much improvement as it should? You want to get better, but don’t have time to travel somewhere to take a class all weekend long. The pistol-training.com Practice Sessions at the NRA Range are just the thing for you.

Each month, the three hour long Practice Session will cover one or two specific pistol skills in great detail. It’s not a class, it’s a genuine practice session. Our experienced NRA-certified instructors will teach you the right way to do it and then guide you through many different drills to work on the same skill multiple ways. You will receive personal one-on-one coaching throughout the session so that you are a better shooter by the end of the night.

Each session will end with an informal competition among the participants and a discussion of ways you, as a shooter, can work on the skills we’ve covered during your own practice.

Chief instructor for the Practice Sessions is Todd Louis Green.
Rangemaster and assistant instructor is Tom K. Ives.

Prerequisites:

  • You must have previous instruction and experience drawing from a holster to sign up for the Practice Session. If you do not have previous experience, we recommend the SFI Concealed Carry class, also held at the NRA Range, as a great place to start.
  • If you are not already an NRA Range member, please arrive 30 minutes early to take the range safety test. There is a separate $10 fee, paid to the NRA Range, to get your range membership if you do not have one already.

Equipment needed for the class:

  • Duty or concealment sidearm (semiauto or revolver)
  • Duty or concealment holster, suitable duty or concealment gunbelt, two magazine pouches
  • Minimum three magazines (semiauto) or four speed-loaders (revolver)
  • Wrap-around eye protection; ear protection; brimmed hat

We look forward to seeing you there. Train hard & stay safe!
