SLG is an active law enforcement officer, having started with the NYPD in 1998. After September 11th, he was offered a position in federal law enforcement where he was fortunate enough to support the GWOT. Throughout his career, SLG has served as a patrol cop, investigator, firearms instructor, assaulter, and sniper. Deploying numerous times to Africa and the Middle East as well as 4 tours between Afghanistan and Iraq, his experience includes tactical operations, protection, and instruction. Responsible for the development of a detachment-wide firearms and CQB program while serving as a member of a full-time federal tactical team, he has taught and trained with numerous law enforcement and military tactical teams. SLG's original and continuing passion in the firearms field is effective, performance-oriented concealed carry. To that end, he was heavily involved in the development of the original modern AIWB holster, as well as many of the current derivatives.
