Congratulations to pistol-forum.com staffer JV for earning F.A.S.T. coin #07 today. Unlike the typical situation of a student knowing the F.A.S.T. is coming during a class, I literally walked up to JV out of the blue on the range and said, “Time to shoot the F.A.S.T.” With no time for any kind of preparation, he stepped up and knocked it out!
First run was a 4.98 clean. Second run got a little wild, 4.90 with three dropped shots. But on his third and final run JV pulled everything together and turned in a nice 4.82 (1.56, .48 / 2.13 / .22, .21, .22).
Not only did he earn his coin on a busy, loud public firing range but JV is also the first person to win a coin using the admittedly cluttered and distracting “F.A.S.T. target” available for download here at pistol-training.com.
