Happy Gun

Love ’em or hate ’em, one thing that everyone has to admit about the 1911 is that the customization options are pretty much limitless. Thanks to INTrooper4255 from M4Carbine.net for the use of this photo he took of his reworked Kimber Warrior.

  1. That kind of item, and the “Smile, Wait for Flash” engraving, etc, are funny. They have NO place on a defense or duty sidearm, but they certainly are cool.

  2. Todd, went for ammo today for my tomorrow session at the range to a local gun shop, and saw and put in my hand a Kimber 1911 Custom 2, similar to this happy gun, trigger felt good, also saw a SIG 1911 but the Kimber felt better, I have also try in my hand the S&W 1911PD at another shop and I like it, All this makes me wonder what 1911 model or brand you like or own?

I already own three 9mm Handguns, a GlOCK 26 my Papa (R.I.P) gave me 6 years ago, for my 30th birthday (he was a great father), my own and everyday companion S&W MPc , and just purchased a SIG 229 elite from a friend, it was not in my plans, but my friend felt in love with a SIG 226 instead, and offer me the 229 with a nice payment plan… (he is a good friend). I was going for The regular MP 9, but this businnes came in the way, too bad I dont live on your Country, Ill be on the waiting list for the MP 9 PT edition for sure.

So my point and question is that so far all my handguns are in the 4 – 4.5inches long slide range, when I get a 1911 in the future should I seek for the same barrel lenght,(because Im more used too) or try bigger guns, I tell you that Kimber felt nice today. Thanks for your opinion, wish you a good weekend.

  3. I saw that on M4Carbine.net and had to look twice.
    I like it!
What the hell, have some fun with your heaters as long as it doesn’t effect functioning.

  4. I have a Kimber Custom Royal that could use one of those. I’ve been wanting to ditch that useless FLGR for quite a while now. Where do I get one?
