HK45 Endurance Test: Week Eight

14,879 rounds

0 stoppages 0 malfunctions 0 parts breakages

While 2,344 rounds went through the gun this past week, 2,303 of that was done in one 24-hour period. From Thursday night through Friday afternoon, the gun made three trips to the NRA Range and spent ten hours on the firing line. Thanks to kittyhawk, gotM4, and the other folks who put a few mags through the gun here & there during the marathon. No surprise, there were no stoppages.

In fact, the HK45 has surpassed both the P30 and the M&P9 when it comes to rounds without a stoppage from the beginning of the test. The P30 had seven stoppages by this point, and the M&P9 had two.

Next week we’ll break the 15,000 round mark!

Train hard & stay safe! ToddG

  1. Dude,

This is Really making my Glocks look bad!!!!
I Never thought it would go this long..

  2. I just purchased a new CZ-75BD to be my main pistol I endeavor to catalog my experiences with it for each time I shoot it similar to what you do, though I suspect I will not have near the round count you do at the end of the year.

  3. You have now surpassed the amount of ammo I put through my HK45. These babies are beasts.

  4. I’m the first to admit that I’m not personally a fan of this pistol – but it seems to run like a house on fire!

  5. I don;t think my HK USP 45 has quite this many rounds thru it, but I will agree the USP and the HK45 are beasts that I thik will run forever.

  6. You need to make it have a malfunction soon, these updates are becoming as boring as I thought they would be….maybe don’t clean it and see how long it will go before it starts to hiccup. 🙂

  7. I got so bored shooting mine I did stop cleaning it. It was worse on the finish than anything else.
