Just SHOOT

When Julie Golob told me last year that she was writing a book about shooting and the shooting sports, I honestly couldn’t think of anyone more qualified. As this year has proven, no one shoots as many types of competition at such a high level of success as Julie.

I’ve begged Julie for years to teach more classes. Men, women, competitors, hobbyists, ninjas… if you want to shoot better, Julie has probably learned, evaluated, tested, and proven more “pure shooting” than almost any other person on the planet. As students have heard me say before, watching a girl Julie’s size control a gun that well makes you realize there is more to it all than just grip strength and mass.

And now, Julie’s book SHOOT is available for pre-order from Amazon. To sweeten the deal, the first 500 folks to pre-order and visit Julie’s blog will get a free autographed SHOOT bookmark! You can even specify what you want Julie to write when she signs it. But don’t ask for, “To the most incredible brilliant handsome man I’ve ever had the privilege to meet” because I already requested that and if there were two, well, that would just be silly.

Congrats, Julie!

  1. Todd –

Great endorsement, just pre-ordered. I’m looking forwards to applying what I learn from it on that P30 that you guys talked me into, and I’m putting my deposit on later today or tomorrow.

  2. I agree with you J, I don’t ever buy books blind, but if it comes from this forum, I’m pretty sold…unless it’s a bayonet rainbow gun with tassels. I’ve got to draw the line somewhere 🙂

  3. Sold. But I am just going to take my cop to her and have it signed on the book………not just the book mark.

  4. Ordered mine… Sorry Todd, had to go with the Incredible, Handsome, Brilliant bit.

  5. The lack of a kindle edition makes me sad. I’ve sworn off hard copies. 🙁

  6. Looks good, will get. Not sure how Mark Wills endorsement comes into play though.

  7. “To the most incredible brilliant handsome man…”

    Sorry Todd, that’s already taken.

  8. Best of luck with this, Julie!

…and Todd is right: If you teach classes, people will show up to learn. I’d certainly attend.

  9. Thanks SO much for all the pre-orders everyone! I have to admit I am bummed I didn’t think to add a pop up bayonet with rainbow tassels. Good idea for book 2, if I do one!

@Jesse – I don’t believe Amazon allows pre-orders for Kindle. The eBook/kindle version is up to the publisher, but I hope it will be available in that format.

@Todd – SLG beat you to the punch. Sorry! You are the bestest though!

@TCinVA – Thanks! I would love to but I am away so much already. Its very tough to leave the family for more travel. Maybe one day!

  10. very very cool. Congratulations on the book. I take it this is what you were so excited about a few weeks ago?
I also agree on you teaching classes. I’ve got a metric ton (that’s more than an imperial ton for you yanks) of people that would take a class with you (myself included).

  11. Amazon does allow pre-orders of Kindle editions, I’ve done it several times. I don’t know the details, but I am guessing it is something the publisher must do to make it available.

  12. Sorry for the delay everyone. I’ve been in Russia for the past week.

@Rob – Yeah. I still feel like I need to be pinched. 🙂 Thanks on the classes too. Its something I want to pursue in the future.

    Thanks @Tam! 🙂

@Todd – Can you blame me with SLG’s hair? 🙂

@PPGMD – I didn’t know that! Thanks. If I had to guess, I would think that Skyhorse Publishing will offer it as a Kindle edition since they do that with their other titles.
