LTT P30L LEM

Now that most of the work is done with the Kel-Tecs, it is time to get back to some training. In that vein, a new LLT, the LEM version of my favorite P30L, arrived recently. This one is set up almost exactly like my others, but the trigger is LTT’s extra light and is the flat trigger from Gray Guns.

People say the LEM trigger is a good threat management trigger, but not a good performance trigger. I disagree, and intend to “prove” that going forward. That doesn’t mean you need to agree, but the timer and the target don’t lie, so hopefully I’ll have some nice pictures and videos to share. Speaking of nice pics, did you see that one up top? The pic cost me my usual posting day, but I hope you agree that it was worth it.

  1. I’m looking forward to your reviews. I just picked up a P30 LEM and have been contemplating sending it to LTT for their red dot cut and trigger job. Since this will primarily be a carry gun, what are your thoughts on the various LTT trigger options?

    1. Hard to say. The medium or the light probably make the most sense, but even my extra light doesn’t seem terribly light. Might be usable for carry, but we will see.

  2. I’m a big fan of the LEM trigger personally. Looking forward to your thoughts on if the GG Flat trigger is a significant improvement over the factory one.

    1. I don’t prefer the GG trigger on a DA gun, but for the LEM, it seems pretty perfect. Does it really matter? I don’t know but hope to find out.

    1. Thank you! The 1250 is kind of a grail bike for me. This one is a 750, which is probably as much bike as I could ever ask for. Do you ride?

      1. SLG, I do but much more slowly than you (smile). I have an 85 FLH. It’s getting harder to ride with old bones. My wife has a difficult time since her hip replacement. Good thing summer is only a couple of weeks long in Wyo. DVC

        1. I don’t know. It’s hard to ride much slower than me and still get where you are going! I really try to stay at the speed limit and take secondary roads with less people. I bet that 85 is a lot of fun.

  3. I’m following because I’m interested in seeing how well the P30 LEM trigger performs, but I’m more curious about what you think about the Triple Black.

    1. I would have preferred the white one to be honest, but the triple black is quite nice too. Other than the color, I’m really liking the bike so far. I’m not expert enough to really say anything intelligent about it though, just working on my low speed precision, which is why the crash bar protection is on it. What do you ride?

      1. I’m far from a bike expert myself, as I’ve only been riding for a few years now. Currently, I’m enjoying an Aprilia Tuareg 660, but I’ve been eyeing moving up to a GS1250. My only reservation about jumping up to a 1250 is its weight. Riding down the road, the size of a bike is almost a moot point, but size matters when pushing it around the garage or exploring rough back roads.

        1. I know how you feel, though that Tuareg is on my short list of awesome bikes to explore at some point. It is lighter than my 750 and has more HP as well. Greater ground clearance and travel. My only issue is if the seat is too tall for me. Never seen one in person yet. All around it looks very impressive. One of my riding buddies is a motor instructor and he rides a 1200 Aprilia from a few years ago. You don’t see a lot of them around here, are they more popular where you are?

  4. Yes! More P30 LEM posts, please. I’ve very curious to read a post with your observations and tips for the LEM.

There’s an LEM version in Europe called the V4.1 or something that is essentially the same trigger with about 30 percent less travel. I think that would be my favorite, but I’ve not changed mine from the factory.

    1. My FFL is trying to source one of the 4.1’s so hopefully I’ll get to try one at some point. Even as is, I find the LEM is as shootable as anything out there.

  5. I shot my P30LEM in the last IDPA match of the season and won it. It isn’t the fastest split-time machine out there but it does the job getting accurate hits. My A01 or LTT PX4 have faster splits by 0.02sec but the consistent trigger of the LEM saves me 0.05 on my first shot.

My EDC is a P30, or a P30SK. Both with LTT optic cuts and a light LEM. Looking at trying out the new CC9 when I can find one.

My P30 is has 15k+ rounds through it and I can’t remember a malfunction. I bought it entirely based on the TLG test. LTT made it the perfect package.

    1. Sounds great! I shot the LEM a little today and it did very well. Haven’t tried to split it fast yet, but I will one of these days.

  6. I’ve only seen two in the Kansas City area that said I spend a lot of time in Colorado, and they are a lot more popular there.
