pistol-training.com is very proud to announce that we’ve been mentioned on The Shooting Wire. Smith & Wesson has issued a press release about the M&P endurance test that we performed, chronicling through the end of the planned 50,000 rounds. Click on the image above to read the entire thing.
If you happen to see this press release pop up anywhere else, let us know!

Todd,
This might be a dumb question, but what are you shooting these days? I didn’t see anything saying you have a new M&P, but I’d assume it was one of the PT M&Ps.
MHCPD — I’m still shooting the M&P endurance gun, actually! Smith sent me a new slide, I dropped in a new barrel (since the old one didn’t shoot to point of aim in the new slide … it always shot high in the original gun, too, which is why I had a taller than usual front sight). It’s had about 5,000 more trouble-free rounds through it so far.
Hopefully, we’ll be announcing details about a new 50,000 round test very soon. And here’s a hint: it’s not a S&W!
Great site this pistol-training.com and I am really pleased to see you have what I am actually looking for here and this this post is exactly what I am interested in. I shall be pleased to become a regular visitor 🙂

AWESOME! i’ve been curious how well those hi-points hold up.
That would be EPIC for the first 13 rounds without a parts breakage. lol, hi-points.
I can’t even venture a guess as to what pistol it would be. Any Glock has been done before. God, I hope it’s not a Ruger, I couldn’t care less. H&K P30? That would be cool! SIG? Probably not enough mags out there to go through 50K rounds (ZING!). Hmm, this should be interesting. What does “very soon” mean? The suspense is killing me!
