Self-Inflicted Glock 18 Wound

g18owie.jpg Thanks to YouTube, here we see a fine example of what happens when someone who isn’t qualified to teach hands a gun to someone who isn’t qualified to shoot.

Of course, it’s also a good example of why one should not handle a fully-automatic weapon without decent instruction beforehand.

Oh, and remember not to put your hand an inch from the muzzle while shooting a pistol.

  1. Ouch; not sure what kind of two-handed grip the guy is using, but it may be a while before he can use a proper one. Ironically, I was just at the range today, and it seems like I’m always scanning to see what’s going on in the next lane. Wouldn’t like to see something like this happen…

  2. Just for fun, here is another YouTube Video this one on cleaning the M&P 9mm. A few seconds into the video you are looking right down the barrel; right when the ‘instructions’ tell you to remove the clip. I let out a yell so loud my 12 year old came running!

  3. The guy was using a vertical grip attached to the tactical rail of the pistol.

  4. ok I only laughed a little bit. Having seen a very large, and muscular built LEO take out the lights at my indoor range with a converted Glock, I can sort of sympathize with this situation.
Looks like he took a couple rounds to the hand. wonder what the forward grip was, and if it was improperly installed?
