  1. You wouldn’t believe how many comments I receive while wearing that shirt. Especially in times when the county that I live in is experiencing a rash of home invasions.

  2. “For reasons completely unknown”….

    This should help:

    Main Entry: bad taste 1
    Part of Speech: n
Definition: poor judgment, esp. as to what is appropriate, fashionable, pleasing, etc.
Example: She has very bad taste in men.
    Etymology: 1696

Not to mention the fact that if you are wearing this “statement” during the use of deadly force, the defense to prosecution just got “dropped” right on your head.

Hard for me to conceive a lawyer selling these.

  3. Stephen — One man’s caviar is another’s bait, so I’ll leave discussion of “taste” to others.

As for the assertion that somehow the shirt’s image would turn a legitimate self-defense claim into a conviction, originally I was going to argue. But the more I think about, it seems to me that every law student in the country should buy one of these shirts and then discuss it in Crim Pro. 8)

  4. Todd, is that image a trade marked thing? I saw a shirt at a gun show recently in Charlotte with the same design just tweaked a little.

  5. Legally speaking, if you were wearing this shirt and then “dropped” a 200# adversary, I can see how it would be considered a premeditated murder. Rightfully so. However, if the bad guy was a few pounds lighter or heavier, I don’t think anyone could argue that you had thought it through in advance.

  6. would wearing a NASCAR shirt while receiving a speeding ticket present the same sort of potential legal issues? practicing your freedoms within the law does not limit or trump your rights within the law.

  7. David – No, it wouldn’t. But a jury will not be deciding your fate in a traffic violation. No question you are well within your rights of the law to wear the shirt (In fact if you’re a NASCAR fan, that would explain your fashion choice), but…. well, never mind. You just keep turning left.

  8. fine, you run over a car-jacker who just shot you in the arm while trying to take your car. you’re wearing a NASCAR shirt and the suspect is wearing a “make love not war” shirt…

PS – I’ve never even seen an entire NASCAR event on TV so maybe I should have went with indy?

  9. Well I bought a couple. I actually found your site a week or so ago and must say I’m damned impressed with the professionalism I’ve encountered within; a rarity worth supporting. This is an exceptional resource which I intend to use regularly as I strive to become a better shooter. Thank you, and keep up the great work. I’m out of NW Montana or you’d see me in class.
