As most of you probably know, the annual Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade Show (aka, the SHOT Show) is less than two weeks away. While a tiny number of new products have already been announced, certainly there will be countless more at the show. For example, Crimson Trace Corporation’s new Laserguard for the Glock isn’t listed there.
Of course, our favorite is going to be the pistol-training.com special edition of the Smith & Wesson M&P9 … which will be on display right next to the endurance test gun you’ve read about in the M&P Monday posts.
So, what is on your Wish List for the 2009 SHOT Show?
Train hard & stay safe! ToddG
The pistol-training.com special edition M&P9 is actually on my “reality” wish list.
Todd, I’m assuming will be able to place orders after SHOT Show ’09?
If the stars align properly, you may be able to order one before the show. That just depends on how soon we can close the loop on a final price between S&W and the distributor.
The rumored aluminum-framed Ruger SP101.
The fabled Glock Single-stack 9mm sub-sub compact. (Think Kahr PM9 but made by Glock!)
The fabled .327 Fed. Mag. single action (Blackhawk or Single Six).
All for MP 9C:
– 22 Conversion Kit
– CTC Laserguard (would allow ambi safety option)
– Airsoft (with slide cycling)
– Red Gun/Blue Gun correctly weighted (light weight versions are currently available)
my wish list would simply to be in attendance.
I’d settle for being there.
So obviously there are plenty of folks who wish they were going. Anyone else actually planning to be at the SHOT Show in Orlando next week? I’m there Wednesday through Sunday. It would be great to meet folks!
I’m hoping for TruGlo TFO (night sights) for M&Ps. I waiting and waiting for them fo rmy M&P 9c
That Glock laser looks like a good option for concealed carry, but I’d much rather have a mounted light in a duty or HD role. Limited application, IMHO.
Better looking than the new LaserMax, though!
Actually the PT M&P9 is at the top of my SHOT Show wish list so this is very good news! In close second would be a M&P9c version 😉
I like the new CT laser for the Glocks…I think it would be perfect for my everyday carry G26.
This will be my first chance to actually make the show…I’m stoked.
I’m pretty set on handguns and associated accoutrements for the moment, but I am excited to check out the Trijicon Accupoint model. Aside from that, just interested to see some of the new carbines coming to market (eventually) up close and in person.
Also hoping that I get a chance to meet a few interweb personalities face to face 🙂
Magic Bullets
Stop by the Crimson Trace LE booth (8785) we’ll have a special gift for PT.com contributors.
Rich — Wow, thanks! Very generous of both you and Crimson Trace.
I would love to see a 40 cal M&P Pro.
A Glock with complete ambi controls, decent sights, and replaceable backstraps.
A .22 conversion for the M&P.
A 21″ factory match grade AR10 along the lines of the DPMS LR308
I was looking at the Ruger LCP/laser article in Guns or American Handgunner, thinking “Hmm, that would be a little less bulky, and easier to make a holster for than a UniMax laser. If only they made one for Glocks.”
Bam! There it is.
