Congratulations to good friends Dave Sevigny (of Glock) and Julie Golob (of Smith & Wesson) for their success at this year’s Steel Challenge. Dave won the Production division as well as taking second place in Rimfire and Open earning him the Steel Master trophy. Julie won first place in Lady’s Limited, beating last year’s winner Jessie Abbate by almost three seconds. Julie also won both Lady’s Production and iron site Rimfire. (thanks to SLG for the corrections)
Steel Challenge superstar KC Eusebio had the top overall score in the match with an 80.27 in Open class. Jessie won the women’s Steel Master title thanks to top finishes in the Open and Rimfire (optic) divisions.
You can see all the scores at the steelchallenge.com website.
Train hard & stay safe! ToddG
Congrats to some fine shooters. The cool part about that group is that even if you finish second, you still know that you are a very good shooter.
Though Julie did win production (and iron site rimfire), I’m pretty sure it was in Limited where she beat Jessie. Incidentally, she used the same Production legal gun and holster in Limited and Production. I think Jessie knows better then to try Production…
Thanks, SLG… corrected it above. Glad you are such a fan of Steel Challenge that you follow it so closely! 8)
All I heard was Jessie and I lost all focus…damn you Todd. 🙂
Seriously they are some top notch talent. I remember Dave doing some demos this past winter at one of our local ranges and that man can flat out shoot…although I’m sure everyone already knows this, but in person it made it even nicer than seeing it on a youtube take.
