Tex Grebner to Appear on tosh.0

Tex Grebner, who jumped into the firearms community spotlight earlier this year when he accidentally shot himself while drawing from a SERPA holster, will be appearing on Comedy Central‘s tosh.0 video clip show next Tuesday for their weekly “web redemption” segment. The web redemption is usually an interview followed by a recreation of the incident that led to YouTube fame for the guest.

  1. Having already self-inflicted a gunshot wound to the leg, I’m unsure why he would want to follow up by shooting himself in the foot.

  2. Not that he had any credibility but Tex must just be determined to be the laughingstock of the world.

  3. I admit, I’m leery of how this will turn out. Daniel Tosh isn’t exactly the type to shy away from an opportunity to make fun of the whole shooting community, and Tex has definitely provided fresh meat.

  4. I say we all pitch in and buy Tex one of those Kel-Tec neck-chain holsters…

  5. Tex is going to get eviscerated.

I’m going to be up front in that I don’t watch Tex’s videos hardly. I think he’s a stereotype and not a very fu
nny one at that. Some of the stuff he does in his videos is potentially dangerous and it’s perfectly obvious from watching him that he has no idea what the hell he’s doing. When Tex’s videos started a friend of mine sent me a few links to them; he watches them for the comedic value. He ended his message with “It’s only a matter of time before the fidiot shoots himself”.

I guess bad press is better than no press, and now Tex is looking to extend his 15 minutes of notoriety. It’s going to bite him in the posterior, but unfortunately I don’t think it’s going to be enough to just make him go away so he stops making the rest of us look bad.

  6. The show can be surprisingly even-handed when it comes to their “Web Redemptions.” From the episodes I’ve seen (most of the first and second seasons), it usually only devolves into out-and-out derision if the person they’re profiling is an irredeemable idiot.

    Here’s hoping for the best.

  7. In all seriousness, I have a lot of respect for the guy for posting that video. But, I can’t imagine anything good coming out of his appearance on that show.

  8. I’ll second Chance’s comment … I’ve only seen them completely screw with someone’s Web Redemption twice

Usually Tosh.0 does a nice job of giving them a fair shake. Even “Hide your kids, Hide your wife” guy came out ok.

Tosh does a good job of making sure the HE is the the idiout of the show

  9. well Tosh burned the 2nd pretty good. But man, did Tex ever prove what a special case he is. and I don’t say that lightly. I don’t think anyone has come across any worse on that show than him. Please let his 15 minutes of fame be over.

  10. I’m with Rob on this one, the less that is seen of “Tex” the better. I don’t think Tex managed to redeem anything by showing up there but instead…added insult to injury…literally.
