The 2011 pistol-training.com Endurance Test

Just got back from the gunshop where I filled out all the necessary paperwork to take possession of this year’s endurance test gun. I should be able to pick it up next week. It’s going to be:

  1. I just hope it isn’t another HK. Two years of HK was enough. Time for something new.

  2. Oh yeah, you actually carry your test guns..BAD IDEA!! I’m thinking Gen 4 Glock?

  3. Todd, just think, if it’s a taurus the test will only last a couple weeks, so it won’t be too bad.

    seriously though, I bet it’s a gen 4 glock.

  4. How about an M&P .45 Midsize?

John Taffin’s orthopedic surgeon is rich enough already.

  5. Probably a Gen 4 G22 actually since they never held up to begin with hence the Gen 4.

  6. I hope it’s some super tight custom 9mm 1911.

…cause Todd doesn’t get enough practice clearing Type I malfs!

  7. Please don’t let it be a Glock. I vote Caracal. Then we can get the real scoop on before it truly hits the US market.

  8. Gen 4 would be a gutsy choice. What with koolaid junkies like me 😉 and then the flip side so heavily invested now that Gen 4 9mm is a crime against Nature and all. LOL

  9. My hope is for a Gen4 G22. Of course I had hoped that would be last year’s endurance gun too…

  10. My vote is Gen4 G19. I have my reasons but won’t reveal them until the announcement is made. 😉

  11. Todd I hope it is going to be a ParaOrdnance 40SW. Since you carry the gun you test…

  12. “You have to wait to pick up a gun?”

    It’s the People’s Democratic Republic of Maryland…..

  13. Stu — If you’ll also buy and donate 50,000 rounds of .45 under condition that if the gun fails we keep the remaining ammo, you have a deal! 8)

  14. Dude if I had the money I’d back that test.

Whilst undertaking the next 50,000 round test you should also test some cleaning kits out, different bore cleaners etc.

on second thought, you’d have to actually open the kits for that to work.

  15. M&P in .357 SIG. I’d like to see how a pistol chambered for that round holds up.
