We have added three new drills — tests, really — to the Drills page.
- Hackathorn Standards, designed by Ken Hackathorn
- The Humbler, aka the 700 Point Aggregate, designed for SFOD-Delta and popularized by Larry Vickers
- Bullseye 1000, designed by Tom Jones
Each is a multiple-string test ranging from 60 to 100 rounds. While certainly not the kind of thing you want to do every range session, any one of these makes for a great way to analyze strengths and weaknesses of particular segments of your shooting skill.
The Humbler and BE1000 are easy to set up even on a single lane at an indoor range, though The Humbler requires you to be able to draw from a holster. The Hack is a bit more involved, but it is probably the most comprehensive assessment of overall shooting skill you will ever see. The IDPA Classifier is based on the Hackathorn Standards.
I am making a personal commitment to shoot each of these at least once before the end of the year. My personal best on the Hack is 288 out of 300, but I have never shot either of the other two.

The humber drill reminds me of shooting PPC especially with the times posted on the different draws and firing positions
