How many of you have heard that? How about grip is the most important thing? Maybe being black and white about subtle issues is the most important thing? Maybe looking good is the most important thing?
Trigger control control is the most important thing…if your grip is subpar. Grip is the most important thing…if you don’t have very good trigger control. Grip has been misunderstood for a long time, so trigger control came to the fore as a way to break a clean shot without having a particularly stable grip. Now though, it seems that grip is getting its rightful place…and trigger control is suffering.
Why settle for part of the package when you can have the whole thing? Develop a solid grip that stabilizes the gun properly and at the same time, work on your trigger control so that you can break a clean shot, regardless of how difficult that shot may be. If all you know how to do is crash the trigger, your accuracy will be limited. There is a time and place to crash the trigger and there is a time and place to prep the trigger. There is even a time and place to get a slow surprise break. Wouldn’t it be better to be able to do it all, and do it on demand? Just an idea.
very true the grip and the finger do join hand and hand so to speak to accomplish a consistent trigger control
