Much to my surprise and delight, James Rupley sent me a copy of the new HK book. Earlier this year, he had asked me if it was ok to reprint the interview that TLG did with LAV and Ken Hackathorn about the HK45. Of course I said yes and figured that was the last I would hear of it. A few weeks ago, James contacted me again to verify my mailing address, as he was sending me a book as a thank you. That was very nice and again, I thought that was the end. It arrived last week but I had been traveling and could not look at it until this week. When I opened it, I was astonished to see that Pistol-Training.com and I had been given contributor status! Of course, I didn’t really do anything, but it is nice to see TLG’s work is still in demand.
Todd’s famous test of the P30 is what allowed me to shoot a P30 a fair bit, and I really liked it. To this day, I think it is the #1 choice for an issue weapon, as it can fit so many hands so well. After the P30, I discovered how much I like the P2000 as well. These two pistols, combined with the USP45, are some of my favorite modern HK pistols. Some years ago, HK offered me the chance to buy a P7 PSP at a very attractive price. One of my mentors carried a P7M8 when we met, and he did some pretty impressive shooting with it, so of course I jumped at the chance to get the PSP. Not a modern gun by any means, it is still a very high performance gun, as long as you don’t need to shoot too much, lol.
At any rate, Pistol-Training.com is very happy to have contributed to the book. If you haven’t already got yours, grab one now before they disappear!
That is most excellent.
It is great to see Todd’s work put out there.
