FAST Winners!

I just got back from a very hot week on the road, teaching a class with Jeff Gonzalez. We had a group of tough shooters who were willing to stand in the 110 degree heat all day. Everyone did a great job of being safe and hitting their targets, and though breaks were frequent, no one complained and no one succumbed to the heat. Many of the shooters are instructors themselves, yet they listened and implemented everything we presented. Can’t ask for better people to share a class with than that.

In addition to just being a great group of guys, several old friends were there, from within the industry as well as out. One brought his son, a 17 year old with excellent shooting and gun handling practices. His son is this close to shooting a coin winning time on the FAST, and I expect I will see him again in the future. Another friend from the industry has been working on a small project for me and I think we are almost ready to talk about it. If you shoot a G6 Glock, this may be for you.

In this class though, we did have two pin winners. Made all the harder to accomplish because of the heat and fatigue, Andy Stanford and CJ Cowan, both from the Surefire Institute, laid down some fast times and earned their pins. Andy had a clean run at 6.84 and CJ had a clean run at 5.87. You can see them up on the FAST Wall of Fame, along with the other winners.

I really have been incredibly lucky to get such good shooters and people to come out to my classes. If you want a chance to earn your FAST coin or pin, come on out! If you are not quite ready for that, but want to get closer to it, ODP is the class for you.
