Glock gen4 “FBI” Mag Button Available Soon

From a source at Glock:

The slightly larger mag catch (“FBI”) for the gen4 17/22 receivers is becoming available for Armorer purchase… it would also fit G4 19/23 frames.

In the photo above, the front Glock has a stock button and the one in the rear is the extended “FBI” button.

  1. Some armorers have already been able to order them. I was able to pick one up on glocktalk.

  2. Interesting. Did Glock ever offer the FBI length catch for the GEN3s to the public? I remember hearing about them at the Armorer Course, but never being able to order them. No big deal thanks to the Vickers catch…

  3. Interesting indeed.
I may be just plain out-of-the-loop here, but is there any recent word on the “dot” connectors, as well?

  4. Since the footprint and projection above the frame seem identical (at least to my eyes), about 5 swipes with a mill file would accomplish the same thing. No waiting, no dollars, no worries.

  5. JSGlock34 — Glock did not offer the “FBI” gen3 catch to armorers, at least to the best of my knowledge. The exception, of course, was armorers from agencies that were issued guns with the FBI catch in the first place.

F-Trooper05 — It was requested by a federal agency.

Andrew — To the best of my knowledge, armorers can now order dot connectors.

BrianH — The “FBI” button definitely extends farther than the standard.

  6. Anyone have the part number, or official name, so I can request the correct item when speaking with Glock?

  7. will get an updated parts list and see if it’s avail. Thanks for the Blog post. Once again I depend on the Internet for up to date Glock info. I thought being a CGA would lead to timely updates straight from the source but that was a pipe dream
