Can You Count?

This week we will look at a drill I like to do to work on my relaxation. Relaxation isn’t everything when it comes to shooting but at a certain point, if you want to get better, you have to work on your weaknesses. Shooting more relaxed is useful for running your finger faster, putting more consistent input into the gun, reducing overuse injuries, and just shooting a bit better in general. All of those are areas worth improving and I have neglected it for too long, as I have always been a fairly tense shooter. In the video below, I discuss a little about the drill, as well as show some runs on it, including my first cold run, some runs with mistakes that cost me time, as well as a couple of runs that are good for me. Another reason I put this up is to show some low-for-me splits that should help people understand that the LEM trigger is not a hinderance to fast splits. None of my fast splits (.14-.17) are splits I can run over and over yet, but in every run I will get some of them and the more I do it, the more often they happen for me. A faster shooter than I could probably learn to do this with a LEM much more easily than me.
