Night Time Zombie Hunting

To follow up a bit on my post about the ultimate zombie weapon, I have been using one of my zombie killing force multipliers, nightvision. My 15’s have been around the block and the rubber covers that the factory installed broke on one of the tubes. Since friends of mine are way more into NVG’s than I am, I asked what I should do to replace the old covers. RTK was what I was told to go with. They make a high quality set of replacement covers, available through SKD Tactical.

Like the Zero belt from Tenicor, you have to be smarter than the object you are trying to use. NVG’s are pretty smart and almost had me beat, but I managed to get the covers on with a minimum of fuss. They look good, are built well, and should do a very good job of replacing the rubber that the factory installs. In all fairness, the rubber straps lasted through many years of hard use, so I can’t actually complain about them. The RTK covers are just much more robust and look great. Also, I’ve known the guys at SKD now for over 2 decades. They are the first place I tend to look when I need some new tactical widget. So if you take the zombie threat as seriously as we do here at pistol-training.com, you too will want only the best (commercial voice provided by you.)
