  1. Hi Todd, I jsut bought an M&P9 and all my shots are constantly low and left. I know it’s me and not the gun. Any suggestions?

  2. Scott — I know it sounds silly, but the best advice I can give is PRACTICE!. Low & left shots are most commonly associated with trigger jerk, assuming you’re right-handed.

Work on slow, deliberate accuracy. Pull the trigger straight back with constant pressure until it surprises you by going *bang*. If you can keep your sights properly aligned through the whole trigger pull, you are guaranteed a good hit. One thing I sometimes tell students is, “try to see how slowly you can fire the gun.”

Get a small target (I like 3×5 cards because they’re cheap and plentiful) and try shooting the 3×5 Card Drill. Remember to go slow!

Hope this helps. Train hard & stage safe! ToddG

  3. Todd, still tring to learn from ammo issues, so the armorer I brought
my MP compact to put the sights, seems a little concern about +P in short barrel like the compact has,by the way my gun returned with a minor scratch, no happy, guess Im not going back there, Then any opinion on the compact version, with +P ammo have you tried?
Besides that, happy with the new sights, seems they are more aligned now than the factory ones, went past saturday to the range and did ok, thanks like always for your comments and opinions. have a good week. Im in line waiting for the gold dots, dealer may have them in january…
