The M&P SIRT

M&P shots 1 026

From a press release this morning:

NextLevel Training (NLT), manufacturer of firearms training products, has revolutionized the way shooters prepare with the SIRT Training Pistol™, has announced the SIRT 107 with functional features of the Smith & Wesson M&PTM. The new SIRT 107 Training Pistol model features several key upgrades designed to meet demanding training requirements. Users will notice the toggle switch has been moved from the slide to the frame and replaced with a 4-position switch. This upgrade will allow shooters to alternate among variable training modes: activate the prep laser, keeping the shot indication only mode and allowing the shooter to turn the laser off completely – acting as a basic dry fire tool. The prep modes allow users to select the activation point of the prep laser at the initial movement of the trigger or delay it closer to the reset for different training scenarios. This came about because of the explosion of SIRT integration into Defensive Tactics training in 2013.

  1. PPGMD — You see, the new M&P SIRT will be the first laser training aide with a built in Gadget and… 8)

  2. I just called the company and learned this is planned to be available for purchase approximately two weeks after SHOT!! My department issues the M&P and this will come in very handy for demonstrations during range training. I’m really looking forward to this model. Now I just need them to make one for the P30….

  3. There is a Glock 19 prototype out there somewhere also. I hope it is released with the new switch and released soon.

  4. I have wanted one of these so badly for so long that I refuse to believe they are a real thing until one is sitting in my mitts.

  5. I’ve REALLY wanted one of these so I don’t have to make/buy all new gear just to be able to use one for dry practice (with the current G17/22 form factor). Plus, this saves me the cost of a blue gun (which I’ve been trying to buy anyways for months now and can’t find anywhere). Can’t wait for it to come out.
