Two Added to F.A.S.T. Wall of Fame

Congratulations to both Jay Cunningham and Ashton Ray for earning their place on the F.A.S.T. Wall of Fame at this past weekend’s C.U.S.S. (Control Under Stimulated Stress) class. Jay and Ashton were students at the first ever Aim Fast, Hit Fast class back in 2008 so it was fantastic to see them both achieve this accomplishment.

A round of applause goes out to Chris Rhines as well. Chris — who made it onto the F.A.S.T. Wall in 2009 — took top honors in the class by scoring a 5.36 on the F.A.S.T. Impressive as that is, you need to know how the F.A.S.T. was run this weekend to appreciate what an accomplishment that really was…

The 3×5 card, which needs to be hit twice at the beginning of the test, was surrounded by $20 bills. (see photo left, courtesy of Byron G) If a shooter missed the 3×5 card and hit a $20, he had to replace the $20 from his own wallet. Everyone agreed that seeing those twenties in their sight picture made the test a lot more stressful! By the end of the class, there was $460 lost from the F.A.S.T. alone.

That money, along with other penalties that came to a grand total of almost $700, was then given to student Vinh Tran — another F.A.S.T. Wall recipient — as the “honor graduate” of the class. So congratulations go to Vinh, too!

  1. So, how much did the class set you back, Todd? Sorry I couldn’t make this one, sounded like a lot of fun.

  2. interesting idea but why not use something of value to put around the 3 x 5 card?

  3. I could send down some canuck money to spruce things up a bit if that would help David?

  4. i’d gladly take your Canadian bounty! i couldn’t shoot either bill at 5 yards so i’d just spend them on tragically hip CD’s and kokanee.
