TTrigger Winner and a P30L Update

My first gear giveaway and it had to be redone. Oh well. After putting everyone into the random number generator, our new winner is DMF13. Congratulations, and please contact me so I can send you your TTrigger.

In other news, the LTT P30L continues to shoot like a house on fire. I took the RMR off of it in order to try out the Holosun 507C with the ACSS Vulcan reticle. I was particularly interested in that reticle, as I think the outer circle option is a great way to go for shooters new to the red dot. I also think that even with more accomplished shooters, that circle might help in circumstances that go beyond your typical nice day on the range. The only way to know for sure is to try the reticle out. So far, it has been more positive than I would have thought. I have never liked chevrons, but in this case, I treat it like a 10moa dot for speed, and just use the tip for slow(er) accuracy work. It is maybe not as good as a fine dot, but it is perfectly workable. So far, my only real complaint is the ridiculous white billboard that Holosun plasters on the sides of the optic.

While zeroing the optic, I shot the above-pictured group with the tip of the chevron. 1.25″ is not the best I have done with this gun, but it is pretty close. I do think that the chevron makes it a bit harder to place the reticle exactly where I want it on the target, but I don’t want to say for sure as I’m still pretty new to using it.

As far as speed goes, I have been pretty easily able to fire 2 shots in 1 to 1.1 seconds from concealed AIWB at 3 to 5 yards. Target is the usual B8 black, and the hits are very easy to get. Treating the chevron like a 10moa dot works well for me at speed or on practical targets.

Ultimately, this sight will not be staying on the gun, as an SRO will be replacing it for the competition season, but given the price and features, the 507 seems to be a very good value for the money.

  1. Do you think the GG Flat trigger adds to the P30L’s performance? I’m really on the fence on if I want to add it to the P30L v1 I plan on getting from LTT

    1. I don’t think triggers matter very much, but that is my experience. I like the flat trigger on the P30 very much, but I don’t believe that it is changing my performance in any way. Someone with a different size hand than mine might disagree entirely. I think it gives a crisper feeling break, if that matters to you.
